聵，天生耳聾。發聾振聵指聲音大得使耳聾的人也能聽見。比喻以言論喚醒糊塗麻木的人。《清史稿·卷三七八·黃爵滋傳》：「雖頑愚沉溺之久，自足以發聾振聵。」也作「振聾發聵」。
